Ashanti Region, Education, November 30, SIXSCRIBES — A Ghanaian who was once a teacher at Kofi Adjei M/A Junior High School but now a soldier in the UK Army has donated sports items at an undisclosed amount to his former place of work.
Mr. Dennis Opoku was met with nostalgic excitement from both former students and colleague teachers upon his arrival at the basic school in Fawoade Bampenase, in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
The headteacher of the school, Mr. Bismark Addai Mensah, appreciated the kind gesture of Mr. Opoku and updated him on the progress of the school.
Mr. Opoku started teaching in Ghana from September 1, 2012, until 2018 when he left for further studies in the UK. He later joined the UK Army in 2019 after his study at the University of Leicester. Meanwhile, the donation at his former workplace unintentionally coincided with his birthday. May he live long.
