Later in the match at 90+ 2 minutes played, there was a drama as Al-Nassr won a penalty deep into stoppage time. Ronaldo, after grabbing the ball, made no mistake from the spot, fired hard his kick straight down the middle to secure a 2-2 draw for Al Nassr.

Ronaldo’s fate was uncertain when Al Nassr were kicked out of the Saudi Super cup when fingers pointed on him as the cause of the defeat

Al Nassr manager, Rudi Garcia, was open when he said that his team was kicked out of the Saudi Super Cup by rivals Al-Ittihad because Ronaldo missed big chances in the first half of the match.

"One of the things that changed the course of the match was Cristiano's missed opportunity in the first half," he said as part of the after-match assessment.

Will the decision to send the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner back to Europe be reversed after his goal?

Al-Nassr will next play in six days when they encounter Al-Wehda.
