Darwin Nunez created a scoring opportunity for Egyptian Mohammad Salah to score the first goal of the match with the right foot in the 36th minute.
Gapko secured an easy tap in finish in the 49th minute to make it 2–0 when Trent Alexander-Arnold made a good cross from Mohammad Salah’s key pass.
Having played 21 matches, Liverpool sit at 9th position with 32 points. Everton are still in danger as they sit among the bottom three.
